Speaking on a new Channel 5 documentary Prime Suspect: Hunting The Predators - police officers detailed the harrowing tale of Matthew Falder.
Matthew Falder, a 28-year-old Cambridge graduate, was arrested in 2017 after a four-year manhunt by the National Crime Agency (NCA). Falder, described as "Britain's worst ever paedophile," was found with over 14,000 indecent images of children. He used dark web forums to exploit and blackmail hundreds of victims, including vulnerable children, and posed as a teenage girl to trick a 14-year-old girl into becoming his "girlfriend." His crimes also involved creating and sharing "hurtcore" child abuse content. Falder was sentenced to 38 years in prison, though the sentence was later reduced to 33 years. Footage of his arrest was featured in a new Channel 5 documentary detailing the extensive investigation.
