Daniel Blanaru, from Rathmore, Athboy, Co Meath, has pleaded not guilty to the murder of his partner Larisa at their home on or about 12 August, 2022.
Daniel Blanaru pleaded not guilty to the murder of his partner, Larisa Serban, in August 2022. Gardaí testified that Blanaru arrived at a garda station with blood on his clothes, appearing stressed and mentioning his wife. He was later observed crying hysterically in custody. Gardaí noted Blanaru’s solicitor raised concerns about his lack of sleep and potential intoxication, but a Garda member saw no signs of alcohol or drugs.
