Police and paramedics tried to save the victim’s life on Bodney Road just before 6pm on Tuesday
Tributes have been paid to 20-year-old Jason Junior Romeo, known as 'LD', who was stabbed to death in east London. Two men were arrested on suspicion of murder. A family friend described him as vulnerable, having seen him hours before his death. The area, known as 'murder mile', has a history of violent crime. Over the weekend, there were additional stabbings in London, making this the fifth fatal stabbing this year. Four victims were adult males, and one was a 14-year-old boy. Detective Superintendent Vicky Tunstall expressed sympathy and noted increased police presence. A crime scene remained until forensics were complete. A 15-year-old was stabbed in July. The case highlights calls for stricter knife laws, inspired by Ronan’s Law, named after Ronan Kanda, who was murdered by boys who bought knives without checks.
