Neil deGrasse Tyson issues stark warning about asteroid that could hit Earth as NASA doubles the chances

Neil deGrasse Tyson has warned about asteroid 2024 YR4, which now has a 2.3% chance of hitting Earth in 2032, up from 1.2%. The asteroid, measuring 130 to 300 feet in diameter, could cause a 7.7-megaton blast. NASA is monitoring it with the James Webb Space Telescope, and a mission similar to the successful DART (Double Asteroid Redirection Test) could be launched to deflect it if necessary.
