Netanyahu warns Gaza strikes 'that killed hundreds' are 'just the beginning' as he vows to keep fighting after deadly end to ceasefire

The strikes, by far the largest since a truce took effect in January, killed more than 400 people across the Gaza Strip, according to the Hamas-run health ministry in Gaza.

Following a deadly end to a ceasefire, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu warned that recent Gaza strikes, reportedly killing hundreds, were "just the beginning" and future negotiations with Hamas would only occur "under fire". Hamas accused Israel of attempting to force a surrender, while the White House said the strikes were coordinated with the US. The UN and other countries condemned the strikes as families of Israeli hostages pleaded for a halt to the violence. Both sides blamed each other for the ceasefire's collapse.
