The minimum salary required for Skilled Worker visas is being increased
New UK visa rules include increasing the minimum salary for Skilled Worker visas and requiring care providers to prioritize hiring foreign carers already in England. The government is also expanding powers to refuse short-term student visas suspected of being not genuine to clampdown on abuse of the system. Applications for UK work or study visas have fallen by 42% since new immigration rules came into force.
