Nutritionist reveals exact time of day to stop drinking coffee

Caffeine can have a lasting effect of up to six hours

Nutritionist Nichola Ludlam-Raine recommends drinking coffee between 9:30am and 11:30am when cortisol levels dip. To avoid sleep disruption, she advises against drinking coffee after 2pm or 3pm due to caffeine's five-to-six-hour half-life, suggesting decaf instead for those sensitive to caffeine. Research suggests coffee consumption, especially in the morning, is linked to reduced risk of heart disease and other health benefits.
