Older people may be able to boost current Attendance Allowance by £134 a month

Nearly 1.7 million State Pensioners are now receiving either £72.65 or £108.55 each week to help with a long-term health condition.

UK older people may be eligible for up to £134/month increase in Attendance Allowance, a tax-free, non-means-tested benefit. 1.7 million in Great Britain currently receive it, including 150,000 in Scotland. Claimants on the lower rate (£72.65/week) may qualify for the higher rate (£108.55/week) if their condition has worsened. Contact the DWP to report changes in circumstances. The Attendance Allowance helpline is 0800 731 0122.
