Paul Simon announces surprise new tour after retiring in 2018

The singer initially announced his retirement in 2018

Paul Simon, 83, is returning from retirement to embark on a 2025 U.S. tour titled "Paul Simon in Concert: A Quiet Celebration." The tour, announced via Instagram, features performances at small venues due to Simon's hearing loss, which allows for better acoustics. The Grammy-winning artist will perform songs from his 2023 album, *Seven Psalms*, as well as classics. The tour begins in April with two nights at the Saenger Theatre in New Orleans and includes stops in Kansas City, Nashville, Boston, New York City, and Los Angeles, concluding with three shows in Seattle in July. Simon, who retired in 2018, recently appeared on *SNL 50*, where he performed "Homeward Bound" with Sabrina Carpenter.
