People over State Pension age with impaired hearing could be due up to £434 each month

People over State Pension age with hearing loss may be eligible for up to £434.20 per month through Attendance Allowance. In Scotland, approximately 595,000 people over 70 have hearing loss. Across Great Britain, only 35,633 people with hearing loss receive extra financial support despite 12 million adults living with a hearing condition or deafness. Attendance Allowance supports over 1.6 million people and can help with daily living expenses. A list of hearing conditions that qualify has been provided, but it is not definitive.
