While 63% of pet owners admit pet ownership impacts their budget, nearly half prefer Canadian pet food. The cost of pet ownership has increased significantly, with lifetime costs potentially reaching $73,585 for cats and $53,935 for dogs. Some owners are taking on extra work to afford pet-related expenses.
