Retired teacher, 72, was killed on walk when herd of cows charged and flipped him into the air, trampled on him and kicked him in the head, inquest hears

Mr Flynn, from Carlisle, was walking along Hadrian's Wall with his friend Christopher Barkless, who had to climb a tree to escape.

A 72-year-old retired teacher, Malcolm Flynn, died while walking along Hadrian's Wall after a herd of cows charged, flipped him into the air, trampled him, and kicked him in the head. He was walking with a friend who witnessed the attack. There was a sign warning walkers about unpredictable cows and calves in the field. An inquest is being held, which will consider a previous cow-related incident at the same farm.
