Solar eclipse: UK forecast for clear skies during first partial eclipse of 2025

Current weather forecasts for the date of the eclipse suggest most people in UK will be able to see the Moon pass in front of the Sun

A partial solar eclipse will be visible across the UK on Saturday, March 29, 2025, from 9:56 am to 12:14 pm. The Met Office forecasts clear skies for most of England and Wales, while northern parts of Scotland and Northern Ireland may experience cloud cover. The eclipse will see up to 40% of the sun covered in northern UK and 30% in London. This will be the last partial solar eclipse visible from Europe in 2025.
