Special avalanche warning for B.C., Alberta Rockies with ’highly volatile’ conditions

It says two slides have been fatal and the snowpack "remains primed for human-triggering."

A special avalanche warning is in effect for the central Rockies in B.C. and Alberta, including Banff, Jasper, Yoho, and Kootenay national parks, and the Kananaskis area, due to unstable and highly volatile conditions. Two skiers have died in separate avalanches in the Alberta backcountry. Recent large avalanches and upcoming warming weather, storms, and snowfall warnings are contributing factors. Avalanches may be triggered from a distance.
