Sudiksha Konanki, 20, disappeared from a five-star resort in Punta Cana on Thursday while on Spring Break from the University of Pittsburgh.
Joshua Riibe has been named a person of interest in the disappearance of Sudiksha Konanki in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic on March 6. Konanki, a US student, was last seen with Riibe on the beach after her friends returned to their rooms at 5:55 AM. Riibe claims they were swept by a wave and he later fell asleep on the beach. He was seen on security footage walking back to his room alone hours later. Dominican authorities possess Riibe's passport but don't consider him a suspect, believing Konanki likely drowned. The US State Department and Indian embassy are involved in the investigation.
