A tanker, Stena Immaculate, carrying jet fuel for the US military collided with the cargo ship Solong off the coast of northeast England, causing a fire, explosions, and fuel release. The tanker was anchored when the Solong struck it. One Solong crew member is missing. The Solong was carrying sodium cyanide and alcohol.
