Teenage terror suspect in ‘good mood’ day before death, inquest told

An inquest is examining the death of 16-year-old Rhianan Rudd, who was found with a ligature around her neck at a children's home in May 2022, five months after terror charges against her were dropped. The inquest heard Rudd, who had been groomed by a far-right extremist and investigated by MI5, was in a "good mood" the day before her death, discussing her future and career plans, despite a history of self-harm and concerns about potential incrimination from her Telegram account. Staff at the home noted she was making "excellent progress" and feeling safe prior to her death.
