Tesco customers left fuming after being hit by online shopping glitch

Tesco customers reported frustration due to an online shopping glitch, where items were removed from their baskets without explanation. Hundreds of loyal shoppers took to social media to voice complaints, noting that even basic items like fruit and vegetables were affected. Customers could add items to their baskets but were later informed that many products were no longer available during checkout. Tesco has responded to some customers on X (formerly Twitter), requesting details to investigate individual complaints, but has not yet confirmed any issue with its website or app. According to Downdetector, reports of problems with Tesco's website and app began around 9:30 AM on Wednesday and have since received over 200 reports. Tesco has been contacted for comment.
