Thai national Pattaphi Wimonnat, 24, was arrested at Lagos' Murtala Muhammed International Airport attempting to smuggle 43 parcels of Canadian Loud cannabis weighing 46.60 kg. She confessed to being a hired trafficker, promised $3,000 for the delivery. In a separate operation, NDLEA intercepted 68 parcels of Ghanaian Loud cannabis (42.2 kg) destined for the UK, hidden in crated cartons. Three suspects, including Samuel Bitris, were arrested. Additionally, NDLEA seized 517 kg of skunk in Nasarawa and 62.7 kg in Niger states, arresting suspects involved. The agency emphasized its continued efforts in combating drug trafficking and promoting awareness through its War Against Drug Abuse (WADA) initiative.
