From 'baby feet' to 'chicken leg syndrome', living in outer space can have alarming effects on the human body
NASA astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams spent nine months on the ISS due to issues with their spacecraft. Prolonged space stays can cause motion sickness, bone density loss (1% per month), calf muscle loss (up to 24% after 100 days), height increase (up to 3%), and vision changes like Space-Associated Neuro-ocular Syndrome (SANS). Blood also shifts upwards in the body due to microgravity.
