The Sundance Film Festival will move from Park City, Utah, to Boulder, Colorado, in 2027 after 40 years. Organizers cited a need for more theaters, affordable housing, and a community aligned with Sundance's values as reasons for the move. Boulder offered proximity to nature, small-town charm, and a welcoming environment, with $34 million in tax credits offered. Founder Robert Redford supports the move, expressing gratitude to Park City and Utah.
