Tories demand ethics probe into 'misrepresentation' by Labour's Jonathan Reynolds after Business Secretary falsely claimed he was a solicitor

The Tories have called for an ethics probe into Labour's Business Secretary Jonathan Reynolds, accusing him of falsely claiming to be a solicitor. Reynolds listed his previous role at Addleshaw Goddard as a solicitor on his website and in the House of Commons, though he wasn't registered with the Solicitors Regulation Authority. Shadow Business Secretary Andrew Griffith has written to the ethics watchdog, accusing Reynolds of misrepresentation and urging him to apologize and resign. Reynolds has since corrected his website, while Labour MP Dame Diana Johnson defended him, suggesting it was a slip of the tongue or administrative error.
