Trump signs order to study how to expand IVF and calls for ‘radical transparency’ from government

The Department of Government Efficiency has often fallen short of the administration’s promises of transparency. The post Trump signs order to study how to expand IVF and calls for ‘radical transparency’ from government appeared first on Boston.com.

President Donald Trump signed an executive order to expand access to and reduce costs of in vitro fertilization (IVF) and issued a presidential memorandum calling for "radical transparency" from the government to reduce wasteful spending. The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), overseen by Elon Musk, has faced criticism for lacking transparency and accountability. Trump also signed a second executive order outlining the oversight functions of the Office of Management and Budget. Critics, including Democratic Senator Tammy Duckworth, argued that Trump's IVF order does not address the need for insurance coverage for IVF treatments. Trump and Musk appeared together in a joint TV interview, where they discussed Musk's role in federal cost-cutting and potential conflicts of interest.
