Garda Ombudsman notified of the use of ‘a less-lethal device’ used to end pursuit
Two JCBs were involved in a high-speed chase with four Garda cars and a helicopter in County Carlow. The pursuit began after a digger was stolen from Seamus Fox Plant Hire. A less-lethal device was used to end the chase, and the Garda Ombudsman was notified. A man was arrested for traffic offenses, one JCB was recovered, and the other was taken for forensic examination. No injuries were reported during the incident.
