Hearing of cases involving chief executive Paddy Cosgrave and two minority shareholders expected to take nine weeks



A civil trial began in the High Court involving Web Summit CEO Paddy Cosgrave and minority shareholders Daire Hickey and David Kelly. Cosgrave initially sued Kelly in 2021 for allegedly causing losses by founding a competing venture capital fund using Web Summit resources. Hickey and Kelly later sued Cosgrave for shareholder oppression and damages related to his tweets about Hamas and Israel, his resignation, and subsequent return. The trial is expected to last nine weeks.
