Starmer offers ‘unwavering support’ to Ukraine and hopes Europe will offer more concrete means of support at London meeting



Following a defence summit in London, Keir Starmer urged European leaders to increase support for Ukraine, emphasizing the need for action amidst a "crossroads in history." The UK announced a €1.9 billion finance deal for Ukraine to purchase missiles and outlined a four-step plan focused on military aid, ensuring Ukrainian sovereignty in peace negotiations, boosting Ukraine's defensive capabilities, and forming a coalition to guarantee peace. The summit, attended by European leaders including Zelenskiy, Macron, and Von der Leyen, agreed to meet again soon. Zelenskiy also met with King Charles at Sandringham after the summit.
