Wallace Primary School hit impressive target in walking to school initiative

The Elderslie school recorded an impressive 92 per cent active trips rate last month for pupils getting to classes in an eco-friendly way.

Wallace Primary School in Elderslie achieved a 92% active travel rate to school in February as part of the Living Streets Scotland 'walk to school challenge'. The initiative, supported by Renfrewshire Council, encourages pupils to walk, cycle, or 'park and stride' to school, using an active travel map created to identify convenient parking areas for parents who live further away. The program aims to promote exercise, reduce congestion, and improve air quality.
