A DIHK survey of nearly 2600 German firms reveals that 58% experienced increased trade barriers in the past year. 70% anticipate negative impacts from US trade policies, with US-related business already significantly worsening. The survey, conducted before Trump's announced auto tariffs, worries the DIHK about further export decline. In the first half of 2024, Poland surpassed China as a key export market. Overall, 23% of surveyed companies expect their foreign business to worsen this year.
