As of March 2025, approximately 100 countries lack direct flights from the UK, including Indonesia. UK government bans direct flights to Ukraine and Belarus due to conflict, and other countries due to safety/political reasons. Georgia and Cuba will gain direct flights from the UK in April 2025. Several large countries in Asia, Africa, and South America, plus small island nations, still require stopovers.
