The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) launched interventionist projects in Rivers State to address the challenges faced by the local population. Key initiatives include the reconstruction of the Apara Link Road, renamed in honor of Chief Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, and the Nkpolu Town Hall. The road was previously notorious for flooding, which hindered business activities and access. The town hall project was spurred by a personal experience of inadequate shelter during a rainstorm.
