'Wonderful' mother shot dead outside pub in Kent on Valentine’s Day by man ‘known to her’ named

The victim was identified by police as Lisa Smith



Lisa Smith, a 40-something woman from Slough and landlady of The Three Horseshoes pub in Knockholt, Kent, was shot dead on Valentine's Day. The suspect, Anthony France, a man known to her, fled the scene after the shooting at approximately 7 pm. The incident occurred while about 50 people were inside the pub. The suspect was later found near the Queen Elizabeth II bridge, where his car and gun were discovered, and it is believed he drowned in the Thames. Police have identified the suspect and confirmed he was known to the victim. The pub patrons were temporarily locked inside for safety. Tributes were left at the scene, and the police have concluded their search, considering the case closed.
