BBC boss says no talent is ‘untouchable’ after claims against former employees

The corporation chairman addressed numerous reviews the BBC has had to conduct in the last few years while appearing before the CMS committee.

BBC Chairman Samir Shah and Director General Tim Davie stated that no BBC talent is "untouchable" following allegations against former employees like Huw Edwards, Russell Brand, and Tim Westwood. The BBC is implementing measures to ensure concerns are voiced and addressed. The corporation is trying to recover salary paid to Edwards post-arrest but faces legal challenges. The BBC Board previously apologized for inadequate action regarding concerns about Tim Westwood. A review found that people felt unable to raise concerns about Russell Brand's behavior during his time at the BBC.
