Common signs of endometriosis as new treatment drug approved by NHS

More than 100,000 people in Scotland live with endometriosis.

NHS England approved a new daily pill, relugolix–estradiol–norethisterone (Ryeqo), for treating endometriosis, a chronic condition affecting 1.5 million women in the UK. Endometriosis involves tissue similar to the uterine lining growing outside the uterus, causing pain, heavy periods, and potential infertility. Common symptoms include severe period pain, chronic pelvic pain, pain during/after sex, painful bowel movements, and fatigue. Diagnosis begins with a GP visit and examination.
