Donegal PPN met with Assistant Garda Commissioner Cliona Richardson to advocate for a three-area Community Engagement Area (CEA) policing model in Donegal, arguing it better addresses the county's unique geographic and social landscape compared to the proposed two-area model. The PPN emphasized enhanced community engagement, equitable resource allocation, localised responses, and safeguarding of services in remote, rural, and Gaeltacht areas, while Richardson acknowledged the feedback and committed to designing an inclusive model.
