Firefly 'Blue Ghost' becomes first ever private spacecraft to land on Moon 'without crashing or falling over'

'We're on the Moon!'



Firefly's "Blue Ghost" became the first private spacecraft to successfully land upright on the Moon. Launched on a SpaceX rocket and carrying NASA payloads, it touched down in a lunar basin after orbiting the Moon for two weeks. This achievement follows previous unsuccessful private lunar landing attempts, including one that toppled over, and precedes upcoming lunar missions from Intuitive Machines and ispace.
