Three leading members detained six months after gardaí accessed Ghost encrypted network
Gardaí raided and arrested three senior members of "The Family," a Dublin-based drug gang, as part of an intelligence-led operation stemming from accessed data on the Ghost encrypted network. Several others linked to the gang were also detained. The investigation is ongoing, with evidence from the network potentially incriminating gang members in drug smuggling and related activities. The Family is one of four major Irish drug gangs compromised by the takedown of the Ghost platform. Five arrests were made in total, and the suspects are being detained under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act.
