How controversial Motability charity hands out £500m in sweeteners to benefits claimants to increase take

The Motability charity is under scrutiny for distributing £540.9 million in "new vehicle payments" since 2022, funded by taxpayers, to encourage benefit claimants to lease cars. This increased their customer base by 170,000. The scheme, intended to help disabled individuals, has drawn criticism for holding significant reserves while some use the scheme despite conditions like ADHD or obesity.
