Lebanon's prime minister Nawaf Salam warns of renewal of military operations in the south of the country
Following a rocket attack from Lebanon targeting northern Israel, Israel retaliated with airstrikes in southern Lebanon, killing six people, including a child. This is the heaviest exchange of fire since the November ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah. Rockets fired from Lebanon were intercepted and the Israeli military targeted Hezbollah targets. Irish peacekeepers in Lebanon are safe.
