The Federal Court of Canada has dismissed a legal challenge against Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's decision to prorogue Parliament. The court ruled that Trudeau did not exceed his authority. Two plaintiffs from Nova Scotia argued that the prorogation lacked a reasonable justification. The court emphasized that while courts can examine such decisions, they must avoid undue interference in executive powers. The prorogation was intended to reset Parliament, which had been paralyzed due to political disputes.
