Manitoba Progressive Conservatives have 11,000 members as April leadership vote looms

Just under 11,000 people have taken out memberships in the Progressive Conservative Party of Manitoba in time to vote for next month's leadership race

The Manitoba Progressive Conservative Party has 11,000 members eligible to vote in the upcoming April leadership race between Obby Khan and the other candidate. Khan is considered the establishment candidate. Party membership increased significantly since the race's launch. A new point system limits the impact of high-membership constituencies, requiring candidates to gain broad support across the province. The winner will be announced on April 26.
