MI5 investigation of groomed schoolgirl who was accused of plotting to blow up a synagogue continued up until she killed herself even after terror charges were dropped, inquest hears

The hearing was told MI5 had 'no indication' from intelligence it gathered prior to Rhianan Rudd's death that she had intended to end her own life.

An inquest is examining the death of Rhianan Rudd, a groomed and exploited teenager with autism, who killed herself after terror charges related to a synagogue bomb plot were dropped. MI5 continued to investigate her as a "subject of interest" until her death, despite her vulnerability and the dropped charges. MI5 was aware she self-harmed and had been groomed online by an American extremist. The inquest will examine the involvement of various agencies, including MI5.
