Musk reprises controversial election tactic and offers money to people who sign MAGA petition
An Elon Musk-backed group is offering Wisconsin voters $100 to sign a petition opposing "activist judges" in the state Supreme Court race, a tactic similar to one used in the last election. Voters will also receive $100 for everyone they refer. The Democratic candidate, Susan Crawford, accuses Musk of attempting to buy votes for her Republican opponent, Brad Schimel, who is supported by $13 million in spending from Musk-funded groups. The effort comes as Tesla sues Wisconsin over dealership laws and Musk advocates voting Republican to prevent voter fraud.
