Nigel Farage promises private prosecution against Business Secretary Jonathan Reynolds

Business Secretary Mr Reynolds apologised for using the term as ‘shorthand’ in a speech but added he did not think it was ‘a huge deal’

Nigel Farage has promised a private prosecution against Business Secretary Jonathan Reynolds over accusations that Reynolds misrepresented his legal career. Reynolds, who trained as a solicitor but did not fully qualify, apologized for referring to himself as a solicitor in Parliament, calling it "shorthand" and not a "huge deal." Farage, leader of Reform UK, claimed Reynolds never had a proper job and described the misrepresentation as a criminal offence. The Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) has announced it will reinvestigate the matter following new information.
