Royal Navy escorts Russian spy ship, landing ship and merchant vessel through Channel
The Royal Navy shadowed three Russian ships, including the survey ship Admiral Vladimirskiy, through the English Channel. HMS Cattistock monitored the Admiral Vladimirskiy, while HMS Somerset and RFA Tidesurge escorted the RFN Alexander Otrakovsky and MV Ascalon. This follows similar missions tracking Russian vessels, and recent allegations that Russian survey ships are used for intelligence gathering and mapping UK undersea infrastructure.
