Safe Superintelligence, an AI startup founded by Ilya Sutskever, the former chief scientist at OpenAI, is reportedly nearing a funding round of approximately $1 billion at a valuation of $30 billion. This would bring the startup's total raised funds to around $2 billion. The company, which includes ex-OpenAI researcher Daniel Levy and former Apple AI lead Daniel Gross among its founders, has already secured investments from Sequoia Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, and DST Global. Notably, Safe Superintelligence is not currently generating revenue and has no immediate plans to sell AI products.
