Scientists discover everyday food that could have dramatic effect on children's behaviour

Experts said it is likely to have a positive impact on development and are now calling on parents to give 'their children the best start in life'.

A study found that children who consumed no fish were 35% more likely to display below average behavioral development and suboptimal prosocial behavior at age seven compared to those who ate at least 190 grams of fish weekly. No link was found between seafood intake and IQ. Most children in the study did not meet the NHS recommendation of two portions of seafood per week.
