Soaring bills to leave households £450 worse off next month as analysis reveals which areas will be hit the worst

Research has found a typical household will be £450 worse off as a result of energy, water, council tax, mobile, broadband and entertainment bills all rising on the same day.

UK households face a £450.75 increase in bills in April 2025 due to rises in energy, water, council tax, mobile, broadband, and entertainment costs. Water bills are a major driver, with the largest hikes since water industry privatization. Some areas like Brighton & Hove will be hit harder, while others like the London Borough of Wandsworth will see smaller increases.
