Jury will hear evidence that Deirdre Arnold drove murderer Brian McHugh to the deceased’s home, where she waited outside ‘for well over an hour’
Deirdre Arnold, 42, is on trial for allegedly being the getaway driver for Brian McHugh, who murdered Lisa Thompson. The prosecution alleges Arnold drove McHugh to Thompson's home, waited for him, helped him dispose of evidence, and aided his evasion of prosecution. Evidence includes fingerprints on a jewellery valuation certificate from Thompson found in Arnold's car and the use of Arnold's car to dispose of evidence taken from Thompson’s home. Thompson was found with stab wounds and ligature strangulation.
