Joanna Kathlyn Kinman, an animal shelter worker in Melbourne, avoided jail after pleading guilty to offensive conduct involving human remains. Kinman found human toes regurgitated by dogs that had belonged to a deceased man. She took the toes, preserved them in formaldehyde, and planned to sell them online for around $400, belonging to a Facebook group called Bone Buddies Australia.
