New Brunswick Irving station diesel spill leaked 100K litres, report says

Documents indicate as much as 100,000 litres of diesel fuel leaked from a storage tank at an Irving truck stop in New Brunswick late last year.

A diesel spill at a Murray's Irving Truck Stop in Woodstock, New Brunswick, leaked an estimated 100,000 litres of fuel after being detected on December 12, 2024. The leak contaminated wells at a Tim Horton's and the Irving truck stop, leading to business closures and an ongoing environmental cleanup. The full extent of the spill was revealed in late February through a freedom of information request.
